"You called for me?" Christabella asked Chrysantha, panting and wheezing from the running.

"Uh... duh? I don't see any other Christabella here..." she snapped.

"Oh, okay... why'd you call?" she asked, still trying to catch her breath.

"Who's that you were flirting with? He's hot..." Chrysantha asked, giving Daven a once over.

"Oh, that guy over there at the balcony? He's Zephyr's relative... Daven de Chevalier..." Christabella said, making it sound obvious and as-a-matter-of-factly.

"Did you say 'charming'?" Chrysantha teased.

"It's Chevalier..." Christabella frowned.

"Okay, okay... Zephyr was jealous... so obvious! He kept glancing over to the balcony when we were arguing... the more he looked, the more he looks unsettled. You can practically see steam blowing out... like a mad cow! I mean, bull... ah! Whatever! Then he stormed off to somewhere... his room I think..." Chrysantha said.

"You've gotta be kidding! He's jealous? No way that's gonna be true!" Christabella said, unbelieving.

"Oh! Haha! Do I look like I'm joking here? I think you'll better go check on him! I smell something bad. My sixth sense is telling it all..." Chrysantha said, a bit sarcastic at first then concerned.

"Fine..." Christabella sighed. "Wish me luck... Hope I'd come back alive..." she joked.

-------------------------------------------------------
I knocked on Zephyr's bedroom door. Silence.

I knocked again. Silence. I tried again then someone said, "What are you doing?"

I turned around to see Zephyr with his eyebrow cocked.

"Oh, erm. Hi! I thought you were inside... erm... " I said nervously. Why am I nervous?

"Did you even bother to check me out, like a few minutes ago when you were flirting with MY cousin?" Zephyr asked, his voice rising with every word he said.

"Even if I did bothered, will you even look at me?" I said, my voice rising too. This is what I get after I took 15 minutes to find his bedroom??? What a karma!

"Well, I might have!" Zephyr defended.

"Hah! Yeah! Like that's gonna happen!" I scoffed.

"You were flirting with your fiance's cousin shamelessly when you fiance was handling the world's most impossible best friend of yours!" Zephyr shouted at me. I felt like slapping him!

That line had draw the attention of a group of guests passing by along the corridor. Despite the crowd, we continued our arguments without a care in the world. I don't care if they'd gossip after this. I am really mad! And Zephyr's not making it any better!

"I wasn't flirting! We'd just met! My purse fell, he was just gentleman enough to pick it up for me. We were just introducing ourselves!" I shouted back, fending for my own dignity. This is too much!

"Oh! Don't you have hands of your own? Does it has to be such a coincident that you dropped your purse in front of him? Is it because he's too handsome that you lost your grip? You're impossible!" Zephyr said sarcastically, making me wanna sucker-punch him now rather than just giving him a tight slap.

"Are you testing me? Oh no! Wait! I can sense a waft of jealousy from you!" I said, being sarcastic too.

"Stop trying to be funny!" Zephyr said angrily.

"I'm not! You are!" I said, glaring fiercely at him.

Chrysantha has noticed the crowd and was trying to break through the dense crowd. When she finally did, the first and the last thing she saw was me slapping Zephyr right across his face. Oh yeah, it felt SOOOOOOOO good.

Everyone gasped.

"You're the one who is impossible! Not me! I'm your fiancee! Not a cheap girl off the streets you know? I'm only sixteen! Damn! I am only sixteen! I can't stand any of this anymore! Just... just... forget it!" I said, tears streaming down my face uncontrollably. I stormed off.

Oh my God! That was NOT good at all... thought Chrysantha.

-----------------------------------------------
Zephyr on the other hand, was putting his hand to the place where Christabella slapped him. He was left alone in the crowd to face the embarrassment. It was so hard to believe what had just happened a few seconds back.

That slap had woken him up. He felt guilty. Was he that cold-hearted guy that is tormenting Christabella? Was he that hateful and cruel? What had he done? It's a total havoc and an unforgettable memory to a sixteen years old girl's and also his bride-to-be's most important day of her life.

He just stood there, staring at her until she disappeared around the corridor. Until the crowd thinned. Then, slowly and unbelieving, he walked back to his own room.
